GCERT Study Materials. As you know, GCERT books are very useful for any competitive exams e.g. GPSC, Police bharti, Panchayat clerk, Talati cum Mantri, Constable, Revenue talati, Dy. Mamlatdar, Dy. Section officer, Class 1/2

In this concept, old GCERT books are much better than new one. Actually new books are activity based and there are not more contents in the books. That's why, we need books of old course and old books are rarely available in the market!

Don't worry, we are making notes from old GCERT books and it will be available within few days. By reading these notes, you don't need to read GCERT books, -repeat, you don't need to read any GCERT books.

Cornell University, located in Ithaca, New York, has more than 1,000 student organizations on campus, which range from the Big Red Marching Band to the International Affairs Society.

First-year students live together on north campus, and the university has housing options for upperclassmen and graduate students, though many choose to live off campus. Cornell has a thriving Greek life, with more than 60 fraternity and sorority chapters. Cornell has 35 NCAA Division I varsity teams that compete in the Ivy League.

Johnson Graduate School of Management, College of Engineering, Law School and Weill Cornell Medical College. Cornell is also well known for its top-ranked College of Veterinary Medicine and the highly esteemed School of Hotel Administration.

Cornell counts 45 Nobel laureates among its faculty members and alumni. Other notable alumni include Tsai Ing-wen, the president-elect of Taiwan, and Huey Lewis, frontman for the band Huey Lewis and the News.

traditions, such as Dragon Day, when, in late March each year, a huge dragon is paraded across campus by first-year students of the College of Architecture, Art and Planning.

Heckled by rival students from the College of Engineering, the dragon is then burned in Cornell’s Arts Quad. This ritual can be traced back to high jinx of the architecture class of 1901, and was formalised by students in the 1950s.

Another tradition that has continued since Cornell’s opening in 1868 is the Cornell Chimes – daily bell performances by “chimesmasters”.

These performers are selected by rigorous, 10 week long competitions, although chimesmasters do not need to have any previous experience playing the chimes.

After climbing the 161 steps to the top of the historic McGraw Tower where the bells are housed, chimesmasters play from a collection of more than 2,500 songs, from musicians ranging from Schubert to the Beatles.

Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said in Gandhinagar that curriculum for students from Class III to XII will be covered in the educational programmes that will be aired on DD Girnar. Vande Gujarat channel will also show programmes for students of Class V to XII.

The arrangement is for Gujarati medium students of government and private schools.

Secretary (primary and secondary education), Vinod Rao, told THE WEEK that an estimated 70 lakh children are expected to benefit from the 'Home Learning'. While the new academic sessions begin from June 15, Rao said the physical reopening of the schools would depend on the COVID-19 situation. Students should be prepared for longer home learning, he added.

International students that have been invited to study at Harvard University are advised to contact their academic department for more information. While the admissions office is closed, staff can be contacted by email and telephone. No information sessions or tours will be cancelled.

Visitas - Harvard’s weekend for admitted students - is now being held virtually.

Established in 1636, Harvard is the oldest higher education institution in the United States, and is widely regarded in terms of its influence, reputation, and academic pedigree as a leading university in not just the US but also the world.

Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, three miles north-west of Boston, Harvard’s 209-acre campus houses 10 degree-granting schools in addition to the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, two theaters, and five museums. It is also home to the largest academic library system in the world, with 18 million volumes, 180,000 serial titles, an estimated 400 million manuscript items and 10 million photographs.

Like most of the United States’ pre-Civil War colleges, Harvard was founded to train clergy, but Harvard’s curriculum and student body quickly secularized, and in the 20th century admissions policy was opened up to bring in a more diverse pool of applicants.

Now, a total of 21,000 students attend the university, each of whom at some point can be seen bustling past the famous statue of John Harvard, the university’s first benefactor and founder, which looks on benignly in the center of the campus. The bronze statue’s gleaming foot is due to almost incessant rubbing by tourists and students, who believe the act brings good luck.

Only the academic elite can claim a place at Harvard, and the nominal cost of attendance is high – though the university’s hefty endowment is such that it can offer generous financial aid packages, which around 60 per cent of students take advantage of.
